Sutcliffe’s cozy lobbyist connections
We’ve long suspected the cozy relationship between Mayor Mark Sutcliffe and members of his campaign …
We need to get the basics right.
THE PLAN / ISSUES
Real solutions for the things people deal with every day.
Ottawa needs more homes, and we need to build them faster.
We will speed up approvals, cut unnecessary red tape, and make it easier to build the housing people actually need. That includes family homes, missing middle housing, and rental units.
Public transit should be something people can rely on every day.
We will focus on reliability first. Buses that show up. Routes that make sense. Service that matches how people actually move across the city.
People are paying more and getting less. That needs to change.
We will review spending, cut waste, and focus on delivering real value for every dollar. No unnecessary projects. No blank cheques.
Everyone should feel safe in their neighbourhood.
We will support frontline services, address visible disorder, and take practical steps to improve safety across the city.
That means working with the right partners, focusing on results, and making sure people see real improvements where they live.
The basics matter, and right now they’re not being delivered the way they should be.
We will focus on maintaining roads, improving snow removal, and making sure essential services like garbage collection run reliably.
No overcomplication. Just consistent, dependable service people can count on.

Pledge comes same day Mayor Mark Sutcliffe gives update on plan to end youth homelessness
Rick, welcome to Ottawa. I’m going to be straight with you.
OC Transpo is in trouble. It’s not the drivers. It’s not the mechanics. The people who keep this system running, the people who show up at 4 a.m. to get a bus out the door, they are not the problem…
I’ve spent my whole life around job sites, communities, and working people. When something starts to go wrong, you don’t ignore it and hope it fixes itself. You stop, you look at what’s broken, and you fix it. That’s how I see crime in Ottawa right now.
